Electric Car Charger – Type 1 To Type 2 Adapter or J1772 to Type 2

Are you looking for an EV Charger that is compatible with both Type 1 Charging Stations?

This adapter enables a Type 2 car to charge from any publicly accessible Type 1 Connector-equipped station.

The Type 1 to 2 Adapter adds Type 2 compatibility to previously incompatible Type 1 Charging Stations. Our EV Charger enables the use of the J1772 plug standard (the older kind of charging station) for Type 2 electric vehicles.

Compatible with Type 2 Socketed:

Audi, Mercedes Benz, BYD, EQC, Volkswagen, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar, KIA, Mazda, BMW, Mini, MG, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Polestar, Porsche, Renault, Rivian, TESLA, Toyota, Volvo

Why Choose JUCER’s Type 1 To Type 2 Adapter?

The Mennekes cable links charging stations to Type 2 Infrastructure Socket Outlets and is appropriate for Type 2 car inlets.

Allows an EV or PHEV with a Type 2 port to charge from all Type 1 charging stations. Rated at 32A.

Networks cable useful on (due to chargers with type 1 outlets):

  • ChargePoint Network
  • RACV Network

Also known as,

J1772 to Type 2, Type 1 to type 2 adapter, and Type 2 socket to Type 1 plug.

What is the difference between a Type 1 and Type 2 electric car charger?

Type 1 plugs include a lock that holds the plug in place and prevents it from being dislodged from the charger socket. However, Type 2 plugs, which have a 7-pin design, do not have these latches. Instead, Type 2 plug-equipped automobiles include a locking pin that locates and anchors the plug.

What is a Type 1 EV charging connector?

The typical plug type for electric car charging stations in Australia is Type 1. The Holden Volt, Nissan Leaf, Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, BMW i3, BMW i8, and Porsche are EVs using this plug-in Australia. Since most manufacturers already use this connector, a charger with a Type 1 plug may be connected directly to the majority of electric vehicles. It is suitable for 240V single-phase charging. To protect EV drivers even in rainy situations, the Type 1 connection offered in Australia should adhere to the necessary specification.

Such efficient service. Placed my order Friday night around midnight. The package was sitting at my doorstep less than 12 hours later. The cable is really well made and very durable, enough to last the lifetime of my newly acquired EV. Well done Jucer!
