I just got my first EV, what do I need buy?
Most EVs in Australia come standard with a Type 2 Portable Charger, (however 2 are necessary with one left in the trunk and another at home). It’s not an immediate need, but I advise getting a second Type 2 Portable Charger now (save $100 Now with a Type 2 Charge Cable + Type 2 Portable bundle deal).
What kind of Vehicles do JUCER products work with?
Any Electric Vehicle or Semi Electric Vehicle that’s fitted with a Type 2 Charging Socket or Mennekes Socket (compliant to the minimum Australian and New Zealand Statutory Standards).
EV Chargers, what exactly is a Type 2 Portable Charger and how do I use it?
The saying applies almost everywhere, it’s not the size of the Kwh, it’s how you use it. That’s very much the case with the Type 2 Portable Charger and here’s why. Range anxiety, isn’t an issue with a Type 2 Portable Charger. With Type 2 Portable Charger, we estimate there are more place to charge than there are Petrol or Diesel stations in Australia and New Zealand. At least 10+ million is our approximate figure. Why? Well.. A Type 2 Portable Charger is designed to plug into a regular 220 or 240 volt Australian/NZ outlet. No different to what one might plug their iphone, TV, Nespresso or Laptop into. If you have a Type 2 Portable Charger + EV you can theoretically just knock on a nearby building’s door vs attempting to make it to the next EV Charging Station. So if you have just purchased or are going to purchase an EV sometime soon. Please remember to purchase an extra Type 2 Portable Charger to keep handy in the trunk, frunk, fruit or boot. For the slight chance, you may run into a pickle.
EV Chargers, what exactly is a Type 2 Charging Cable and how do I use it?
A Type 2 Charging Cable is an essential need when owning any EV in Australia. This is not a brand exclusive cable. All new EVs sold in Australia need Type 2 Charging Cables (Mennekes) including Tesla, Porsche, MG, Nissan, KIA and Hyundai just to name a few brands. Type 2 cables or sockets known as Mennekes IEC 62196 is what all new EVs and EV Charging Stations are fitted with for universal capability. Drivers use this socket type to charge their EV on a Level 1 Charging Stations and up. Charging speeds can vary from 2.4 Kwh to 22 Kwh (depending how big your EVs onboard charger is). How this is essential. One won’t be able to charge on most public EV Charging Stations without a Type 2 Charging Cable. A Type 2 Charging Cable or the Type 2 Stretcher. A Type 2 Charging Cable is the most important tool for owning an EV and you’ll need it to charge at most charging locations around Australia.
Where can I use my JUCER products?
The JUCER Type 2 Portable Charger (IEC 62196) Mennekes connects seamlessly with all standard Australian and NZ household Standard Outlets. The Type 2 Charging Cable (22Kwh) is compatible with Type 2 IEC Mennekes (IEC 62196) charging stations. Compatible Networks: The EV Cable is compatible with all universal EV charging brands and networks including: ActewAGL, Queensland Electric Super Highway, RAC Electric Highway, City of Adelaide Charging, Chargefox Network, Jaguar Land Rover Dealers, Mirvac Shopping Centres, 151 Property Shopping Centres, North Sydney Charging, EO Charging Network, Northern Beaches, Lane Cove, Waverley, Woolhara and Randwick Council network, Charge Star Network, EVERTY Network to name few examples. It’s interchangeable between Single Phase and Three Phase charging stations. The Type 2 Stretch Charging Cable is compatible with the same networks and charging stations as above, however is limited to 7Kwh charging capacity. The Jucer Type 1 to Type 2 Adapter (Type 1 (SAE J1772) Plug to Type 2 (IEC 62196) Mennekes). Is compatible to Type 1 SAE J1772 Charging Stations. Compatible Networks: The EV Cable is compatible with all universal EV charging brands and networks including: ActewAGL, Queensland Electric Super Highway, RAC Electric Highway, City of Adelaide Charging, Chargefox Network, Jaguar Land Rover Dealers, Mirvac Shopping Centres, 151 Property Shopping Centres, North Sydney Charging, EO Charging Network, Northern Beaches, Lane Cove, Waverley, Woolhara and Randwick Council network, Charge Star Network, EVERTY Network to name few examples.
Where are the EV accessories made?
All JUCER products are manufactured in China and up to Australian/NZ Regulatory Standards (EESS).
How well are JUCER products designed?
JUCER Products and Services have been designed to be compatible with charging capabilities in both Type 1 and Type 2 Charging Stations for Pure Electric (BEV) or Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) with Type 2 (Mennekes) sockets. With our cables, we’ve factored in harsh climate conditions to make sure our products charge safely and in multiple conditions, come rain and shine. Safety for you and your Vehicle has been JUCER’s primary design focus. JUCER products are in accordance to Australian and NZ regulated standards.
Shipping Information?
We ship using Australia Post. We aim to have your package with you in 2-5 business days, 7-12 business days to New Zealand. Shipping delays can occur to (Covid 19 Pending). Australia Post introduced carbon neutral parcel deliveries back in 2019 by purchasing carbon credits for Aus Post Mybussiness customers who send parcels at Post Offices or book parcel pickups.
What if my product is faulty?
